I think it's a bit too flat, but it doesn't really matter, because the idea and feeling of this picture is really great The colours are so.. mystical? Nice one

i like the flatness; it's a story book, n'est-ce pas, with the crease in the middle and the textures so bold you're afraid to touch? the bottom left corner is ghoulish, and the blues in the bottom right remind me of caves and electricity. i would ramble on about all the things i can see in the depths, but i've just noticed how bespattered the sea is with stars, and so i've lost all the riderless horses and submarines. so are the stars buried in the black sand at the bottom of the sea, and do we only see their reflections?

when i was much younger i was terrorized by a huge dog on a pier down at the beach, and i thought i had to make a choice between being attacked by a dog or drowning by jumping into the sea. i decided i was going to jump, and i imagined what death by drowning was going to be like.

luckily, i didn't die. but the memory is still strong.
