and i've finally managed to create the website showing some of the photographs taken in Italy, in the middle of 2011 .. apologies for it taking so long .. but so be it .. you'll find them here:

i'll just be here, waiting for the congratulatory messages, and wholesome back thumpings ..

and i'm off to Rome for a few months .. try and restrain your outpourings of inconsolable grief at my absence from devArt .. you could try consoling yourselves by visiting my real website .. Here..

and Studying-Courbet is one of the images included in the news article In the World of Museums, and thanks to utopia-dweller for including it in this stroll through the world's major art museums ..

the painting being studied is called 'L'Origine du Monde' (The Origin of the World), and the model for it was Jo Hiffernan, who was also the model for Whistler's earlier work called 'Symphony in White'. 'L'Origine du Monde' was intended as a somewhat brutal message from Courbet to Whistler, that not only was she Courbet's model now, he'd also just fucked her.

A Daily Deviation!

fuckfuckfuck .. a Daily Deviation, and i just can´t fucking believe it ..

after five years on dA, and my DD cherry finally being popped is a thrill i cannot describe.
given the nature of the piece DD´d, my thoughts to the residents of Flowerdale and Marysville and all those who lost family and friends on Black Saturday.

a pity my own tattoo now resembles more a fading bruise rather than the beautiful celtic circle it once was ..
